Magnificent Morse Mints
'Stowage', Otto Retro and Exeter CND shop, New Bridge Street, Exeter April - May 2010

Glass Sweet Jars, Inkjet printed Labels, crystal mint sweets, motors, LEDs, timer switches, MDF, 'spearmint' gloss paint.

Working in conjunction with Found Space to produce a pair of sweet jars which, during the hours of darkness,
communicate to each other from opposite sides of the street.

The shops hosting the jars are set in the far western end of Exeter's high street, home to many small and independent outlets.

The jars emit short morse-code sentences to each other that mimic the friendly everyday small talk held between shop keepers in the street.
