The 'fleet' group photo; taken at Pendennis Point, Falmouth.

'fleet' Exhibition
(3rd - 5th July 2008)

The Electrician's Shop
Trinity Buoy Wharf, London.

23 artist's and myself, fresh from University College Falmouth, packed up and took our degree work to London.

The name 'fleet' was chosen to strengthen the notion that we were a group of individuals setting off on an adventure! - Aswell as linking the group to cornwall through the obvious use of the word in terms of fishing and sailing.

The private view went really well, we had lots of visitors and some musicians from the neighbouring studio played for us. There was a fantastic atmosphere as we all felt ecstatic about our achievement.

We had shuttle buses running from the nearby Tube and DLR stations so people managed to get to the venue easily enough. And there was plenty of wine, Skinners Ale and nibbles.

I reconstructed my 'Copoperation' installation in the London space. It just fitted under the ceiling of the 'electrician's shop' space.

The only problem I encountered was due to one of the tutors forgetting that high heels were forbidden from being worn on my special wooden floor tiles. So, sadly, one of the tiles got slightly damaged on the private view. Oops!!
