My Interactive Installations only function when people are present, and it is vital to me that audience members activate the devices within the systems I create or participate in the tasks I set. Through this a sense of power and responsibility is bestowed upon them.

The way people interact with my work varies but I generally prefer the interaction to be automatic or ‘involuntary.’ Motion sensors, door switches and pressure pads are as valuable to my work as the mechanisms themselves.

The effects of the actions and processes performed by the mechanisms in my installations are often detrimental to the materials or objects used.

Sometimes the effects are cyclical and regenerative but more often they are linear and cumulative. As time progresses, I like to see a build up of evidence of the people who were part of the proces
